Our guiding principles

We are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures.

Put people first. The rest will follow.

We are committed to improving life. Success for our company happens when we help our partners and associates thrive.

Be part of the solution.

Curiosity is contagious. Empathy and passion are too. We turn chaos into order by creating solutions that enrich the lives of those we serve – our manufacturer partners, patients, associates and communities around the world.

Tell the truth, tell it fast.

We believe that being kind means that we are direct, but with good intention. Together this allows us to move forward with clarity and alignment.

Be bold & stay humble.

We have confidence and respect in each other’s ability and expertise, which empowers us to take risks when they are worthy. Our humility keeps us grounded.

Celebrate individuality. Act as a community.

There is power in our individual perspectives. Our greatest impact is when we collaborate as one, using our collective expertise to generate ideas with sustaining value.

Our Purpose and Guiding Principles in Action

Each Distribution Center hosts monthly events designed to bring associates together, from quarterly cookouts and March Madness basketball shoot outs to themed lunches where associates bring in fare to share. For example, a "Pie in the Face" and dunking booth event raised nearly $1,200 for organizations who take care of kids with serious and sometimes terminal illnesses. Associates in Frisco proudly donated back-to-school supplies to a local school district.

These are just a few examples among many of how our teams are already living our Purpose.

These types of events demonstrate our philosophy and commitment to associate engagement and appreciation. "I am very proud of our operational performance," said Stan Byrum, Vice President of Specialty Distribution. "A big part of our success is the positive working environment, the dedication and pride of our associates, and very strong internal communications. Even with technological advancements, a human is going to touch every process of the operational flow, and we have to rely on our teams to perform at a very high level."
